John Martyn
Heaven And Earth
Hole in the Rain
It seems that nothing in the world can hold back the posthumous release of the record the artist was working on at the time of their passing, either left as it was or 'as he would have wanted it'. This is the former. How does it sound? There is a point in the making of any album when the musicians play as if they're working out whether they've got something or not. This sounds exactly like that. It doesn't fill you with yearning for what might have been. It goes without saying that it's only for those who've got everything else he released.
sitenote:
This was part of a section called 'The last word | David Hepworth's Curiosity Shop'. Curious indeed. David could have given the record a few more spins.
