BBC 2 series, also known as In The Round.
John features in show with four solo 'hits'.

The show has been recorded in Subteranea, West London. All artists are on stage simultaneously in a club setting. Left to right: Spooner Oldham (keyboards), Dan Penn (guitar), John Martyn, Paul Heaton (vocals), Dave Rotheray (guitar), and for the last two Beautiful South tracks, Jackie Abbot.

John wears a long black leather coat and has a strange mark on the left side of his head. He listens attentively to the other performances and his own show is not one of his best. He doesn't seem very satisfied with it himself either.
