On the first album, the Jansch-Incredible String Band influences were noticeable but this album is very much more John's own work.

A rave is in store for Glasgow's folk and blues fans in the Woodside Halls tomorrow night. The star of the show, titled BLUES FOLK, is John Martyn, a young Glasgow singer-composer whose songs have made a big impact on the national folk scene. Many well-known performers including Julie Felix are considering John's songs as possible recording material.
